Description
Mihaya is a new citrus that was registered as a variety in 2014. It was developed by the Institute of Fruit Tree Science, the Institute of Fruit Tree Science, which produced Shine Muscat, by multiplying “Nozomi Tsuno” x “No.1408”. It has a deep red-orange skin and reaches full maturity in late November and is rarely seen due to its low production volume. It has high sugar and pulpy juicy content and eludes a very rich fragrance that fills your mouth. Due to its pretty glossy appearance, it is also ideal for gifts such as year-end gifts.　
However, it may be a little harder to peel than normal mandarin oranges, hence it is recommended is to make a smile cut like an orange to enjoy the full flavor and content.
