Kochi, is the 2nd most famous production region, right behind Shizouka, for Muskmelon. As the daytime in Aichi is longer, it enhances the overall quality for the melon – producing sweeter, fragrant, and superb texture melons.
Muskmelons can be eaten in 2 ways, one in semi-ripe state (solid flesh color) – which flesh are firmer and can be served in slices, and in ripe state (semi-transparent color) – where flesh is softer and much sweeter and juicer, and have to be served in 4-5 parts and scooped with spoon to enjoy the rich juice.
