Description
Aichi, is the 2nd most famous production region, right behind Shizouka, for Muskmelon. As the daytime in Aichi is longer, it enhances the overall quality for the melon – producing sweeter, fragrant, and superb texture melons. Emerald muskmelon, the star of melons, debuted in May 1992 after years of development. It takes its name from May birthstone and the glimmering of the South Pacific.
Muskmelons can be eaten in 2 ways, one in semi-ripe state (solid flesh color) – which flesh are firmer and can be served in slices, and in ripe state (semi-transparent color) – where flesh is softer and much sweeter and juicer, and have to be served in 4-5 parts and scooped with spoon to enjoy the rich juice.
