Description
Daimasaki (大将季) is a new variety under Shiranui (不知火) family discovered in Kagoshima, 1997. It sports a brighter orange and deeper red color skin and flesh compared to Dekopon Shiranui. It inherited the same characteristics of protruding top and thick but easy-to-peel skin, and is entirely seedless. It also has a richer taste and sweetness compared to Dekopon, and hence popular for gifts due to its appearance and rarity.
