Kara mandarin looks like Satsuma mandarin and has the longest growing period. Many of them have a slightly uneven surface, which tends to be unattractive, but it has an unexpectedly rich fragrance and moderate balance of sweetness and acidity, giving it a dimensional taste.
It has a high water content which makes it very juicy, with also easy-to-peel skin.Â
